Little House Academy

Hi! My name is Silvia Mango, I was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina where I worked as a teacher for over 15 years, specializing in elementary school aged children. I have lived in the Sacramento area for 20 years and I have two daughters who were born here, ages 19 and 12 years old.

I worked at Just Like Home Daycare for 4 years, where I acquired experience and picked up tips, while caring for infants and young children.

I loved being able to stay home with my daughters when they were little and I still love caring for children. As a caregiver and teacher I aspire to create a fun, friendly and comforting environment for the children, where they can learn social, emotional and motor skills while playing. I will be implementing games and learning activities that will exercise their thinking skills while also having fun at the same time.

Another aspect I plan to include in the children’s daily learning is the Spanish language. Seeing how my bilingual daughters benefit from being fluent in two languages, have made me realize the importance of learning another language. I plan on mostly speaking to the children in Spanish, so that they can be exposed to the language as much as possible.

My greatest wish is for your child to feel at home and that you feel confident that they are being cared for a nurtured as if they were my own.
